Uncle Lee's Organic Green Tea

After months of not drinking green tea, I am finally back at it. I stopped drinking green tea when I got pregnant with baby no. 2 because my stomach did not agree with it. But now that I am finally feeling normal again, I am giving green tea a go. I remember how it helped me greatly with bloating when I was regularly drinking it. Plus I know that it helped me keep my normal weight too, believe it or not!

This time around, Hubby decided to buy me the organic stuff. Aside from the organic lemons, he also bought a big box of this Uncle Lee's 100% Organic Green Tea. I have read good reviews of this brand so I am more than willing to give this a try. Compared to the Lipton brand that I used to drink, this one seems to have a milder taste that I really like. I prepare my green tea with a little bit of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey.

DIY Play Tee-pee

Introducing Baby D's DIY, no frills, no fuzz, NO SEW tee-pee! I can't believe how easy and how quick this tee-pee was made. And for a very cheap price too! You see, I have been planning to get Baby D a tee-pee for about a month now. At first I thought about buying him one. So I did a lot of searching and browsing online, but everything's so expensive. The cheapest ones I found are still around 80 bucks. Ridiculous, right?

So I decided to go the DIY route. I found a lot of teepee tutorial online, but most of them requires sewing. A few more searches and I found one where I don't have to sew at all. All I really needed was the wooden sticks and an old bed sheet, and I'm good to go. I then dragged Baby D and Hubby to Lowes where we found a bundle of wooden sticks (6 pcs. per bundle) for $7 something.

Hubby made the wooden sticks smoother by sanding it, then drilled some holes in each where we threaded a string to hold them up all together. Once I figured out how I want it, he securely tied it all together. Then all I did was wrapped  around the old bed sheet to cover it up. I did not even have to glue/staple the  sheet except on the doorway part. It was so easy and so cheap to make.

Nine West Zip N Go Satchel

Introducing my first ever Nine West purchase! I know, I know, it's not one of those expensive signature handbags like LV or MK. I have never been into expensive stuff anyway. All I wanted a a fashionable yet functional new purse to replace my old one. My old one which was a Guess Satchel was more than $100 bucks. This time, I know I won't spend as much on a purse. So I search for decent-priced satchel handbags at Macy's.

When I first saw this Nine West Zip N' Go satchel, I know this is the one! This particular style was actually available in different colors but I fell in love with this blue one. I love that it's got plenty inside compartments plus that outside pocket. It is just the perfect size to hold my iPad Air so that's great. And I still have plenty of room left for my other essentials. With a discounted price plus free shipping, I only paid $45.14 for this beauty! What a steal indeed!

Anniversary Presents

When it comes to gift giving, Hubby does not have the perfect idea of what I really want these days. That explains the Victoria's Secret gift card he gave me for my birthday. It's always a "safe" option since he knows I love Victoria's Secret. Anyways, for our 7th wedding anniversary, I personally picked what presents I want. I ordered it and Hubby paid for it so it is still his "presents" for me.

And what did I get? The Ab Rocket that I have been wanting for so long. I have read great reviews for this product and I'm hoping it will help me tighten my saggy, post-partum belly. To help the Ab Rocket, I also bought The Belly Burner belt. I have tried this belt before and I found it very effective in maximizing the burn when I workout. Hopefully, I will achieve what I want to achieve with the help of my anniversary presents from Hubby. I'll keep you all posted!

Amazon Gift Card

I admit, I love to shop online! I find more convenient that actually going to the store or the mall. If I can get anything and everything I need or want online, I definitely will do. One of my favorite online store is Amazon. I find a lot of stuff at cheaper price from them. Plus I love that I get get free shipping if I spend $35 and up.

So when i found out that I have eligible cashback points to redeem from our Chase Freedom account, I decided to redeem it for an Amazon gift card. There was something that I have been wanting to buy and with this $50 Amazon gift card, I can definitely get it. Yay for cashback points and yay for more shopping!

Back to Mealprepping!

(Baked Sweet Potatoes, Steamed Broccoli & Ground Beef with Black Beans)

As  I have a few more pounds to lose before I get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, I decided to go back to meal prepping. Just a little boost to kick start my healthy weight loss goal. I have tried meal prepping before and it really helped me maintain my weight before my second pregnancy. Plus it is great when I don't feel like cooking all the time. I just get my prep meal and reheat and I'm good to go. I also love that even though this does not look much, but it's very filling. Not to mention very healthy too! I plan to meal prep for at least a month and see how it goes from there. If I lose a pound or more, then I will be happy with it.

Baby Gap

(Baby Z's First Baby Gap Outfit)

When I found out that I was pregnant with Baby No. 2, I did not wish and pray that "it" will be a girl. All I was praying was to have am easy pregnancy and have a healthy baby. A lot of our family and friends told me that they hope that it will be a girl this time so I will have the perfect pair; a boy and a girl. I always say that I will accept whatever God will give me. If it's another boy, then it's all good money-wise cause we don't have to buy clothes with all of Baby D's we already have. And if it's a girl, I told myself I won't go crazy and be like those moms who dresses their baby girls like dolls and wear matchy-matchy clothes.

Of course, I have to eat my own words when we found out we were having a little girl. I felt so blessed and thankful cause the Lord always knows what my heart truly desires. And He delivers! So here I am, shopping for cute girly outfits for my little fashionista!

Turning 34

As I get older, I find it unnecessary to have a big celebration. I am just thankful for another year added to my life and all the blessings that I got. Anyway, Hubby got me my favorite Coconut Cream Cake from Edgar's Bakery. This cake is a favorite in our house too! Hubby also gave me birthday cards (one from him and one from Dylan). And last but definitely not the least, a $100 Victoria's Secret gift card.

Turning 34 with two beautiful kids and a thoughtful husband, I could not ask for more! All the material things I got are just icing to the cake, I should say.

Best Green Juice Recipe

I have heard a lot of good benefits you get when you drink green juice. But the thought of it being "green" which means they have a lot of green vegetables in it, that really scares me. I do want to try it so I searched for green juice recipes that seem "drinkable" for me. I found this one and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did because I actually love it. Now I am hooked to this green juicing thing. I'm even willing to try other recipes aside from this one. If you want to try green juicing too, I recommend you try this one. The ingredients are what's shown above. One thing that I noticed when I'm drinking green juice is that I have a lot of energy. Before, I seem to be always tired and sleepy. Thanks to green juice, I have more energy to do my chores and take care of Baby D.

Rockin' My Pixie Cut

It's been four months since I last had a haircut. That was a month before I had Baby Z! Now it's been three months since Baby Z arrived and I can finally say that I have everything under control. I mean, Baby Z is almost out of the newborn stage and she finally got a great sleeping routine. Baby D, on the other hand, is now well adjusted to his new big brother role.

So, I am finally ready to pamper myself and relax a little bit. One of my best stress-buster is getting a haircut. I found out that my hair stylist is now working in a different salon because the old one closed. Good thing I found her and  she's working in a salon just a few minutes from the old one. It is still just a few minutes from our house so it is till very convenient. Now after some catching up, I'm finally rockin' my pixie cut again!
